Well to cut a long story rather short, in fact very short. A friend of mine who used to run a couple of hacks in Wigan plus his own PH firm with his Wife, is on the verge of bankrupcy due to him and his wife splitting up. I used to work for him as a hc driver and was talking to him the other day, he told me what was going on which concerned me a great deal as regards social services contracts. Basically she is taking him to court for 1/2 the firm the house etc: The judge has told him HE has to keep her in the manner that she is accustomed to which means he was turfing over a grand a week to her to keep her in luxury and she is getting legal aid to pay her court fees.??!% The social services contracts were given to her by the social services last year, (1 of them) since then even though she doesnt have a firm of her own, (she places her hackney car on it wich she rents out to a driver for £200 a week, this helps him to pay her his rent.) Also she has since applied to the social services for a further 2 contracts which she has obtained, she then farms them out to HC or PH drivers working for other firms offering the drivers 30 to 50% of the money she is getting for them. Social services were contacted over this and said that it was illegal for her to do this but she is still doing it, and anyone contacting the social over this is issued a threatening letter by her solicitor, and she knows she's getting ALL this money and is still claiming legal aid, the Licensing officers have been told and they arent doing nothing about it. My mate is going to lose everything he owns to this woman, but cant see a way out of it he has had 2 heart attacks, and is a shadow of his former self, theres a lot of people who know this woman would love her to get her comeupance, is there anything he could do..... name withheld for fear of reprisals |

hmmm, you could always give the tax man a call...... if she is stiching him up for the house he may as well go bankrupt. at least they'ed let him keep a car and plate of his own so he can keep working and not have to pay her bugger all. |

if I was you I would keep out of this one domestic problems are for the domestic partners to sort out and no one elses. let us know if you find out she has been shagging someone in Social Services, that might put a different complexion on it. |
