Sounds about right for this country, please lie down while we rape you of all your money.

Well I for one refuse to start 2010 in a pesimistic mood. Apart from a very brief period 2009 was one of the worse years I've had and I'm glad to see the back of it to be honest.

So here's to a much improved and happier 2010 and I hope you are all blessed with a happy and prosperous year

Toots i hope you are right but i feel that 2010 is going to be a disaster for the taxi trade in Dundee in fact the whole trade. In Dundee we have a lot of people being made redundant and are seeing the taxi trade as an easy way to get back to work.I do not blame them as i would do the same if i was in there position .My only hope is that the council see sense and do something about it.

If this is the Happy New year thread, then I'll add my best wishes to one and all.

For those of you working tonight, earn lots.

For those like me, who are celebrating with wine etc, have a good one.

May 2010 be a good one.

(Apart from the token Bromley Bus Lane campaign)

Happy New Year to all.Hope it's not going to be as bad as all the predictions!
I have a few bookings tonight but doubt I will venture into Derby as I made that mistake last year and paid the price in vomit!
Cheers
Steve

I think 2010 would struggle to be as bad as 2009.

Maybe after the election the country can concentrate on trying to sort out it's finances, else 2010 will be another struggle.

well this last month has been quite eventful !!! trade has been good when you could get through the traffic jams but one thing after another has gone wrong culminating in my mother being rushed to hospital this morning so I will be very glad to see the back of 2009. 2010 will be an expensive year for me but a very good one for the lawyers whilst i sort out some of what has happened this month so heres hoping 2010 is a better year for everyone on TDO and that the sudden end to the recession and carefree spending of the general public this month doesn't come to an abrupt halt in january !

I take it the brief period that was good was when you came down to see me.

Well today was crap.

Gave up after having to charge someone £27 from Leicester Sq to The Raft.

The A2 and all the roads leading to Fairfax Road was easy peasy.

Felt like Moses at the Red Sea. :D
