The Secretary of York Taxi Association has finally decided which side of the fence is better, he has sold his free plate and returned to Private Hire where we all have a better time of things, while the hackneys sit on ranks moaning we are constantly on the go, lets face it which seems the better option, walk to a rank and be met by a miserable b&$*ard or pick up the phone and be collected from your house, simple is't it.
Remind me again how long he'd been secretary?

He became the Secretary last February, which is less than a year ago, the AGM is next week and it is anybody's guess what will happen, he has sold his free plate and gone, the treasurer who hates me with a passion has resigned, the vice chairman has gone, the committee man in charge of communications has also resigned to stand in local government elections, they all came promising so much and seem to have done so little. It was always clear where his loyalties were, when he became Secretary he doubled the cost of membership to fund the joining of a national body, although every member of YTA is a hackney driver or proprietor he joined
The National Private Hire Association so it could be an interesting AGM
