It's sunday. It's Easter Sunday.

So what rate to charge, I was asked this morning by another driver.

rate 1, I told him, it's Sunday.

Yes, Easter Sunday, says he, therefore rate 2.

Nope, rate 1.

Today is neither a bank holiday, (they're closed anyway) nor a public holiday.

Today is a Christian festival, like shrove tuesday, ash wednesday, and maunday thursday.

Any complaints to the council about overcharging will be on their own stupid, stupid heads.

sundays here are rate 2 BUT all my regulars are charged rate 1 sunday and Monday because on bank holidays a lot of other taxis will charge rate 1 only to get the work which is usually very thin on the ground

Ask your customers what rate they'll be on if they worked a Bank Holiday? You'll find they'll be on double time with an extra day added to their holiday entitlement so basically they are on treble time.

If punters want a cab on a Bank Holiday they pay the going rate IMO.

nearly 40% of all the calls I had today were people shopping around to see which cab firm would give them the best price that is how it is round here either you do the work cheap or you get none!!The punters have the upper hand its a matter of how cheap you think you can go and still make a living I probably earn about half what i used to 10 years ago !

We dont, and tbh I dont like the idea......but I've got one in my cab and I had a number of customers yesterday say my fare was cheap compared to the cab they got earlier in the day.

Enough said and I think I was wrong in me belief.
