Ways to work Schemes..more nails in the coffin.

Post subject:  Ways to work Schemes..more nails in the coffin.
Dunno if its nation wide scheme but its another so calledCharity/volunteer sector idea that just helps take our customers away from us.

It seems that one of my local councils along with the Job centre is offering a 50cc Scooter and CBT (including insurance and Road Tax) for £15.00 a week to the unemployed if they find work that they need transport to get to...after 6 months if they hand it back they get returned 80% of the total amount they paid.

Not only can they get a scooter...for £25 per week they can get a car from the same loan pool...also taxed and insured...again with an 80% return on whatever theyve paid over the period theyve loaned it for.

Its seems to be sponsored by the Council and the government...makes me wonder if its worth while having worked hard all these years just to see people get these things for next to nowt and paid for with our taxes.. :?

Sadly not...the guy showed me the brochure he got from the Local jobcentre+ office...just wish id took the web addy off it,,,

apparently there are various types of Wheels to work schemes of various types in all areas of the country...be interesting if you checked up what was on offer in your own area and let us see how they all differ...one thing though that seems constant is that they all seem run by volunteers or charity groups..

They still do...usually they move from eastern europe to the UK...nation of free transport and for the Jobs the natives no longer can get. :?

I shouldnt worry..........the prospective Jobseeker will probably reach retirement age or have died before they ever find a job... :roll:

And the Scooter numbers will diminish rapidly as their riders become roadkill for any vehicle bigger than a Reliant robin....just how dangerous is this plan? is it part of getting the number of Jobless down by goverment sponsored road genocide?
