I'll tell you what I thought then, but for obvious reasons, I still don't think it's a good idea. TDO admin is currently running a poll on the General Election topic to see how the 'good folks of TDO' might vote. On a different topic in the last day or so, might even have been today, there was a discussion on the level of earnings, or not, of a driver & I think Ms Toots was involved in the posts. My idea, and I still don't think it's a good one for reasons that will become obvious, was for TDO to run a anonymous poll, just like the General Election poll, on driver's average weekly takings. The poll could have many different levels of takings, say in blocks of £200, for instance; Below £200 pw £200-£400 pw £400-£600 pw £600-£800 pw £800£1,000 pw Over £1,000pw. But as I wrote, in hindsight it's not a good idea. In any case London drivers IMO would have to be excluded, as their earnings would obviously distort the results. Now you all know what I was thinking when I posted, ' I don't know if this is a good idea, but how about . . . |

For a number of reasons, including transparency & the hope that the idea might get support.

Not a great Idea....the Tax man might take to much of an Interest and if anyone should get overly excited with their declared takings then it might come back and bite them.....Nothing is safe from the all seeing Tax man, least of all the Internet.

Now you all know what I was thinking when I posted, ' I don't know if this is a good idea, but how about . . . Do we want the powers that be to get a truer account of our earnings than maybe they see in January?
And do we want the 2 million unemployed to get any ideas?
