One of my drivers had to go down to London to drop off last Thursday I tried to pay online but it wouldn't let me I then phoned up and was told that the vehicle in question was exempt just out of interest I tried putting my own vehicle details into the system and it wouldn't take those either. Have TFL now started exempting Hackney carriages from outside of london ? i have always had to pay in the past |

Was your vehicle a nine seater i.e. 8 passengers and a driver? If so you will be exempt. |

I have never been exempt before and have had to pay it but the vehicle doing the job was a 7 seater (6 + driver) |

You don't need to register with us for your 100 per cent discount if you drive a vehicle with nine or more seats that is licensed with the DVLA as a bus (taxation classes 'buses' and 'reduced pollution buses'). It's automatically exempt. You need to register with us for your 100 per cent discount if your vehicle with nine or more seats is not licensed as a bus or is registered in Northern Ireland or the European Economic Area. |
