I suspect the rear entry ( ) issue was what caused the problem. As for who, I thought it was Radar that was against them.

No problem with them is there?

As long as each customer is issued with a tin opener before the journey commences.

The problem with the Doblo, and the Sharan, is not solely one of rear entry.

Wheelchair bound passengers have no alternative exit if the vehicle is involved in a rear end accident. This is why Tom Thumb advised giving all passengers a tin opener.

I always get amused with all these who get trapped in vehicles, dublo is top seller to disabled people themselves.

come on proove your point, how many disabled people have been trapped after an accident?

I have been told the chances of not getting the door open after impact are "slim"

but if a tx2 has a side impact the problem could be a bit more difficult, ramps slip only to one side.

I cant believe Im going to agree with Yorkie again

The DPTAC committee and the government seem to want a range of vehicles available, acknowledging that there are a range of differing disabilities that public transport should be able to meet.

How you can persuade the taxi owners all to purchase these different vehicles is another matter.

Just for the record Charles, do you want a Doblo, for you or your local trade, or are you against it?

Its more like how do you persuade taxi owners to buy the other available vehicles when they can buy a Doblo for much less.
