Hi - just wondering how many people on here work for companies versus how many work for themself - whether private or public hire?

done both, im of the opinion that being on a circuit (renting a radio/etc) means your not self-employed in the true meaning of the phrase, if i had to id change to a hackney plate and rank up, ive a contract till 2013 though, its mine, im my own boss

In my area I would say 80% of taxi/PH work for/with firms.

I own/drive a licensed saloon taxi, working in a TOA, been with proprietor owned firms in past, but prefer where I am now.

yes thats just a blonde thing :lol:

I worked for offices for 14 years and have worked the streets for three years, prefer the streets.Most of my work comes from sitting at train station(no permit required).

Because months ago he was intending moving to mainland uk with his partner and wanted tp start up for himself...then he dissappeared off the TDO radar.
