They keep their vehicle in good order (repairs and updated)
They allow drivers who work their car holidays rent free
They allow time off ill rent fee if it is unavoidable
They have a good relationship with their drivers

Living off someone else hard work without regard to the current situation
Not willing to take any off the risk but expecting all the return

So now I have that off my chest if you want to talk about why some owners were not prepared to put their own vehicles on the rank you could mention the Association that sold its members down the river excepting the council rules about colour and age without understanding the consequences.

As you have noticed I have not resorted to insult there is no need, I do not judge people before I know the full facts. If I do get things wrong I am prepared to say sorry, sometimes there is no right or wrong you just have to do one or the other.

So if you don’t let the facts get in the way off a good story keep it up,

York Stn taxis [ gestapo] are now to have on the spot inspections when on the rank, day or night

to check dress code, how clean you are, and if you are dressed correctly as per York Stn taxi rules/ newsletter as issued today, how clean your vehicles are, by order of East Coast Mainline, as you are carrying their customers,I thought they went bust] or is it a Stn taxi thing

you will at random be pulled from the rank, taken into Tearoom Square and inspected, if anything is out of order you will be sent home or off the stn rank

who are these people, simple taxi drivers who are share holders, thats all , they are enforcing these rules on other drivers

That sounds like an out-post of Animal Farm.

As I have already said unless you know all the facts you should not really judge a persons movtive or actions
If you knew the full story like some already have and had second thoughts about the one's (not everyone) who want to sit back and let the money roll in and do not care if the drivers out there can earn the money to pay the rent.

Again you have your facts wrong young man
The one you are talking about did not plead, he asked for donations to help his nomination on a point of principle.
He was talking about, not just people taking advantage of the system they were in but people taking advantage with butter on.
(you could use the same analagy with plates and use of or plates and pensions,inheritance,nest eggs etc;)

Anyway to put you right all the donations he collected were given back in full when he understood he could not afford to stand at the election and risked losing the deposit,
As is the case there are lots of mouths willing to shout but not many who are prepared to put there money where there mouth is.

If you had offered him the deposit of £500 non returnable he could have stood against political expences rip offs
