We had an article in our weekly office news, giving this site a mention to all our 400 odd drivers and staff. So i should think you may be getting a few new members joining from Plymouth very soon

:D

I hope they can gain a little something from the site, it's good to have new opinions debated.

Best wishes

Probably saw the stuff you were posting Mick!

Seriously though, I don't think it was the TaxiFast effect that did it, I think something else was at play.

You can do better abuse than that surely Nidge?

This forum gets better by the day!

To quote that advert from the TV:

'I'm luvvin it!' :D

That's the first question for the quiz - which advert is that slogan from, cos I can't remember - but i think it's a big US brand like McDonald's or Coke.

Yeah Yeah Dusty, sometimes I wonder Dusty, why a bloke who argues for equality doesn't welcome other opinion or even critisism.

Maybe, and I know I've said this before, but new members may be put off posting not becuase they have got nothing to say but because they worry that their opinions don't match that of certain members who could in turn try to make them look foolish at best.

I can handle the pressure, after all we have crossed swords for years, I think we have probably covered everything at least twice, possibly thrice with Sussex.

I think my point is that as well as derestriction members of this site should possibly look for something we can unite behind, as I think the knowledge and experience within the site is being wasted.

B. Lucky

I really can't believe that you believe some of the stuff that you write Mick.

How on earth do you conclude that I don't welcome opinion or criticism?

That's why we set the site up - like you did - and why anyone can post whatever they want on it, within reason.

As I've said dozens of times, you seem to think that people having contrary opinions puts them in the wrong somehow.

If people come on and express a view, then why shouldn't others respond if they don't agree, or if the poster is spreading misinformation, or is demonstrating double standards, or whatever - do you expect people to ignore this kind of thing?

I suspect your problem is that a) I am usually on the opposing side from you and b) my arguments are usually better

Your post is sheer double standards - tell me, what does this site do that Taxi Talk, PHM, CTN etc don't do, apart from giving people the chance to easily respond at any length they want, and say whatever they want, things that simply aren't available from the traditional taxi press.

I think the problem many people have with this site is that it's more conducive to democracy and free speech than anything else in the trade, but the countervailing 'problem' is that it's off message!

I've said this umpteen times before and it's getting a bit tiresome.
