Is this a because they shout the loudest or the council only listens to them and not the other firms in the area ?

On behalf of all the delta drivers the cheeky horrible jumped up obnoxious a##e licking nerd, and if you knew him he is just a nerd. Well it's not on mine and the majority if not all of the other drivers behalf. Sefton council are just a load of ***** who are only interested in money like the rest. The NERD must be gunning for another commerce award he gets anually of his buddies at SMBC for making them and him another **** load of cash while were all struggling. Well Mr delta staff and his Lady of the Night at the council are going to be in for a shock because the lads and girls are not going to take it much longer. You moan and your set is switched off so the time is maybe coming for the lovely people of southport find out how many of us down here in South sefton there really is when we all take a trip to Southport in rush hour.

To be perfectly honest you can't blame SMBC for the crisis within PH. With regards to the letter sent to SMBC on behalf of Delta it is a sensible practice to stay on the good side of the council. As for the drivers of any company not being happy then it is time for them to realise that they don't have to work there  There are lots of options it's just a shame that like their taxi counterparts there is little or no chance of the ph drivers getting their act together. As the saying goes 'you make your bed, you lie in it'. I don't see the point of a protest either, what exactly do the drivers hope to achieve :?

Sorry Toots but we do blame SMBC for the problems in the private hire trade as they are the people throwing licences out like confetti, like I've said before if you ask Sefton + Liverpool hacks plus all merseyside PH the biggest problem and 99% will tell you it's the amount of Delta. Regarding moving from Delta to somewhere else then what's the point, if the 2000 delta drivers moved to SRC the problem would be exactly the same for all the above mentioned so the root of the problem is SMBC's greed and determination to dupe people of the dole and into a crap job. As for protest Toots then do we just lie down and die because the way things are looking things are going to start getting a lot worse.

They have NO choice. If an applicant fills the criteria then they have to give the licence. It's not SMBC's fault, they are following the law. What do you think they can do? I think the answer is nothing. Your protest should be aimed at the company circuit you work and unless almost every driver in that company is prepared to make a stand you won't have much of an impact, imo. I personally think we should brick up the Mersey tunnel, as suggested in the play, you Delta drivers are all over the place like a rash

Toots that's a great idea about the tunnel, then we could make a fortune taking delta's future customers home back over the bridge. :D

For somebody who claims to dislike Delta and the way it works you're awfully proud of what they do

I don't dislike Delta Toots I just can't stand the greedy owners. As for being proud of what they do then what do they do apart from grow and grow, nothing for me to be proud of, if it was not delta who were the biggest constantly recruting more and more drivers that the council keep isuing licences to it would be someone else. It could have been one of the Liverpool firms in Delta's position with the market all over merseyside, it doesn't matter about the name of the firm as the council's will always keep taking them on. The only way it could stop is if a certain operator was born with some morals and gave drivers a bit of a chance.

Why wait to be given a chance when you could take it yourself
