Post subject:  Watford Station Ruling

From what I can gather, there was'nt actually a ruling form the EU that Watford HAD to open its Railway Station Rank to all Hackney Drivers ! Im guessing they opened the Station of their own accord before a ruling was made in the drivers favour, after those drivers excluded from working the station brought it to the attention of the EU competitions committee.
This is just my understanding of the situation and I know nothing about it apart from what Ive read, so if anyone can provide any further info or links to the case it would be appreciated. Thankyou

It has been discussed on here, but I think the station folks were just pointing out EU 'Restriction of Trade' laws/rules/conditions.

I have looked at this through the EU and still ongoing,
The train company open up the rank not to have a problem with thier DPP policy, as it is open to question by restricting access are they giving a restricted service to their disabled customers.

If they keep a resricted numbers policy they are open to challenges with their disabled policy, they decided to act now rather than be told to open their ranks at a latter date,

When I have had replys from EU MEP's I will post what I have found out
