After starting my shift today at 3.45 and, by 5.45 having done the grand sum of £3.70 from my only hire, i decided to have an early meal. Driving towards my favourite Take-away i passed a prime site for beggars which brung back an interesting encounter while i was plying for hire at the same site two weeks ago. Standing outside my cab catching the last of the sun a beggar approached and enquired.."Needing any pound coins driver ?".." No mate ! got no notes needing changed as i ain't had many hires " Says i..." Must be quiet for you boys tonight eh ? i just made £27.00 in forty minutes off guests about to attend a wedding at the nearby Hotel, see ya " he replied..
Ain't that just what you want to remember when you're about to be minus what you left for work with cause you got to break on your float in order to feed yourself ???

Only thought i was left with was when are the beggars going to demand that the Council cap numbers of them cause they can't make a living !!!!!

I'm away back out there........

Can't remember which Grisham or King book it was, but part of the story is about the way a 'normal' person pretends to be a blind beggar and earns thousands a week.

My shift wasn't looking to be much last night until a chinese couple had their car taken off them by the police. I had to take them home to Luton at 5.30 this morning :D

Exactly the same down here with the exception of them being friends .................£7.00 on the meter and seven passengers in the cab, a loan voice says how much is that each drive

Another night with four student geniuses in the back trying to fathom out..............What is the capital of Holland? followed by numerous wrong guesses.

That's why I hate doing students fares.

When they come up with that sh*t at the end of a journey my answer is always, "Can one of you pay me & leave the advanced level maths for later please."
