So the saga continues.

The latest faults are:

The front drivers window has to go all the way down before you can close it, they cleaned it up, but it started again the next again day.

The battery went flat (nothing left on) when I left it for a week. The Penzo taxi converters earthed the battery to a frame opposed to the provided floor stud, this seems to cause this known fault.

The rear o/s door opens with the dash switch when its in the mood, although typical, its working now when its due in.

I was working tonight and felt a massive loss of power coming in on the M4 from the airport, sure enough EML comes on, half power mode activated, and a sedate journey out to GBC mansion followed.

Its booked into Merc again today.

FFS, starting to loose faith in this thing, seems to be something new every two weeks.

Must be a Friday car As ive owned a Vito for 18 months done 63,000 miles no breakdowns normal service £400 and replaced just a rear spring :D :D :D

EGR's can fail by not opening, or by sticking open, or being clogged with crap, blanking can put a EML (orange light) on the dashboard and soon MOTs will not be carried out with such a light showing...

Unbeknown to me, apparantly the mass air sensors are a big problem on the 111 Vitos. They thinks its that . . . again.

Anyway, its having a sleep over at S&G and hopefuly be ready by Wed.

Got it back today, apparantly with a new window switch, a door that's now opening ( for how long?) and a new battery which apparantly activated the 'limp home' mode.

I just can't see it being the old battery, but as always let's see what happens . . .

All done under warranty.

It's proving to be a pig in a bag is that Merc of yours. I'd get shut of it before the warranty runs out.

Had its annual inspection today and passed with flying colours.

Cost me new pads x 4pr, two tyres, a 4 wheel alignment (feels lovely to drive now) a headlamp check with an MOT garage, and some deep cleaning by yours truely.

All in all, under £500 which I'm more than happy with.

Thats probably this ones last plate as I'll be looking for a new one next year, lets see whats on the market by then.

The mass air flow sensor decided to shut the engine down to half power last week.

I couldn't be arsed calling S&B to book it in again, so I used the Merc 24 call out.

Within an hour they were out, sensor re-callibrated on the laptop, and the air flow mechanism cleaned out.

Must remember them if it happens again, its free for the first 3 years.
