Addison Lee have newish vehicles, smart drivers, offer competitve prices, good web site-seems to be providing an extra service and offering customers good value-why is everyone (almost) on this site against them. This is a statement from their website-Over 10,000 companies hold corporate accounts with Addison Lee including 50% of the FTSE 100 companies. 10 million passengers travel with Addison Lee every year. The company also offers a range of other services including executive coaches, international chauffeur cars and a within 1 hour courier service in central London. Established in 1975 Addison Lee is still a family run business and was recently listed as Britain's 44th fastest-growing private company by the Sunday Times. Be interested in hearing the views apart from M4 bus lane issues Paul |

CC - something on which we agree. The reason is that, AL like many PH operators, have found a way to avoid employment laws and so cream off a huge profit by using a form of slavery. Or so I am led to believe. |

I personally don't like the fact that they have a huge income but don't pass on any benefits to the drivers that earn that income for them |

So ultimately no one has an issue with the drivers who are just trying to earn a living like the rest of us (theyre maybe a few bad apples). When I see the drivers at heathrow they seem sensible, smart, normal like the rest of the drivers in the terminal. Its the corporate company and the management John Griffin that readers have issue with. |

Definately the attitude of the company people don't like, but, I'm sure you'll find somebody on here that thinks the drivers are much to be desired

There are good and bad hackney and private hire drivers,i've lost count of the amount of black cab drivers at heathrow i've seen still driving with handheld phones to their ears, with customers in the back sometimes too. They cant cry supremecy when many continue to break the law in this respect. |

never heard of them prior to joining here. what I've heard I don't like. mainly the boss(es) tho' the drivers attitude does get mention now and again, and not in a positive manner. I'm sure there's a video of the boss's son(?) on here somewhere having a run in with a demonstrator at their offices. seemed like a right wakner to me. |
