Just wondering if anybody on here does contract work for Fraser Eagle, our firm has recently picked up this contract and it has meant a significant drop in prices,as a pose to when Virgin,Midland Mainline etc sorted their own taxis out.Alot of the lads are now refusing this work, but the boss says his hands are tied as everyone across the country are on the same rate, bar London. Is £1.10 a mile standard,or is the gaffer creaming it at both ends? |

crap rates though Captain cab Last year Frazer Eagle used 12 of our Taxis to take some bus passengers to London on a Saturday night/ Sunday morning, the bus had broken down on the M1 southbound. The firm never got their money from Frazer Eagle, it had to go to the County County Court. Oh forgot this little bit too Frazer Eagle are owned by National Express. |

The only bad experiences we have had with them is that there a little slow in paying. And they want to pay £1.20 per mile when the meter charges £1.70 per mile, owner drivers dont want to go for less money and then have to wait for the money if they do go. personally, I think that they are making a fortune from the efforts of others, pay you £1.20, charge £1.50(say), and pocket 30p per mile for doing nothing more than making a phone call. Although far be it for me to suggest this

He'd served them admirably during this time. For them to [edited by admin] on him like they did was nothing short of diabolical. They'll treat you with with respect for the first few years then bang you'll be waiting ages for your money. |

Fraser Eagle are not owned by National Express. They were a small coach company in Accrington who by some 'luck' were closely related to the management of Virgins trains I 'believe'. They offered to find Virgin trains a solution to their coaching problems and have moved on from there. |

They offered to find Virgin trains a solution to their coaching problems and have moved on from there. I understand they are owned by former rail people from Preston Station Captain cab |

Although Frazer Eagle have been on our account list for years, we've hardly ever done a job for them. All the railway work comes either direct to us, or through local coach company. The rates vary. Depends what they want. If we do odd single jobs, its standard as metered so-to-speak. If its a rail closure and they book x number minibuses for the day, its done on a package rate. |
