In the past few days down here in sunny Plymouth, I hve seen a pug 306 and a ford focus working. I don't think I'd be to happy if me and 3 mates were going into town and one of those turned up. You get squashed as it is in the back of a mondeo/vectra etc. Surprised these got licensed.

The focus wasn't an estate, just a bog standard focus!

I would say contact your LO and get his views, but isn't this the council that had to pay over a quater of a million because they didn't like someone's mate. [-(

I must assume that it has passed all the necessary dimension requirements etc, it's not like council to get something like that wrong  .

I'm not actually bothered either way to be honest with you, so I won't be checking with local LO, was just wandering thats all.

One driver in Cupar had an Escort a few years ago, but he only got it plated for two in the back, so hee didnt keep it long.

The only measurement they use seems to be the seat width and it has to be 17 inches or 43 cms per person.

The Zafira gets to carry six and its tiny in the back, but the width must be OK.

In London they have licensed a Smart car as a private hire vehicle, obviously only for one passenger

One of the private hire firms has a Ford Fiesta in Barnsley and it is licensed to carry four.
