Mark gave a brief reminder of what was discussed at the last Working Group

• Lack of response to email tenders-Mark reminded the group to respond to tenders even if they think their price is high.

8. Freedom of Information requests and contract price DS/AH

"A" informed the group that he has received some Freedom of Information (FOI) on which requests relating to contracts let for example; an escort had requested to know the price of a contract on which she acted escort as she was only being paid £10 for the day. As winning tendered contract prices are available on our LCC website we provided the escort with the information. He wanted to make operators aware that as this information is published on our website we are obliged to confirm contract prices.

KS queried how some taxi operators are able to carry out contracts at such a low prices, she and others members of the group came to the conclusion that escorts may be paid less than minimum wage or cash in hand. Mark reminded the group of who to contact should you wish to report anything of the above. Telephone numbers etc can be found by clicking on the link below under Paragraph 10.

i pick 3, not behavioural, no aspergers, just dyslexic, the school certainly has better disciplinary standards than the "normal" (for want of a better word) state school down the road where uniforms seem optional for boys and girls skirts and blouses seem too small for them, smoking is ok once outside the school gates and hurling abuse at everyone is the norm
