Captain cab ( Wayne) is not very well at the moment, he suffered a heart attack on Sunday, he was taken to Carlisle Hospital and then transferred by air ambulance to Newcastle.... it was touch-and-go for a while... they fitted a springy thing which widens the arteries to the heart.... he is now back at home......

I have known Wayne for a number of years now.... he was born into the taxi trade like myself , he's constantly giving advice to people across the country who find themselves at odds with their council's... he makes no profit from this himself.... and even drives across the country to be at their meetings, I have posted this as I have had several phone calls asking how he is... I hope he gets well soon...... and takes my advice which is....... look after yourself and your family first ....

Get well soon Wayne!!

And from now on it's Bran Flakes in the morning and Horlicks at night.

No more fry-ups, bacon and sausage sarnies and the like.

May God speed your recovery.

:wink: :wink: :wink:

Hope he recovers soon. It is sadly a hazard of the job, sedentary, fumes, poor diet, stress.

Go to the gym - eat fruit - work a four hour, four day week (like the LO's) and things will be better.

Apart from being a bit skint!!

Ahh well at least you have picked (well maybe not picked) a good time of the year to have it (so to speak). Some good weather and plenty of rest (although I am told they do not recommend to much) and you will be back.

Even if you are not back to work then I am sure that your advice and experience will be gratefully received.

The question that we must all be thinking is;

Which one is going to last longer, the car or the driver? :D
