Hey all, newbie here.

I am about to take my test for Nottingham next week and am starting to panic about it.

I am happy with the topography, we get an A to Z so that makes it fairly simple I would think as I know where most places are I think.

The problem is with the rules, I have been given 2 pages for PH and the same for HC with most of the information duplicated. There are supposed to be 25 questions on those rules, I can't see how they can even make 25 questions out of that information.

There must be more somewhere that I need to bone up on, but where?

Can any Nottingham drivers help at all?

The trams are quite handy really whenever I have a Nottingham theatre run after deopping off at the royal theatre up to forest free parking for a few hours and then back to pick up afterwards

As to the rules do they not have more information on the council website our councils rules go to a lot more than 2 pages !! although the test might well include a lot of questions on taxi law in general not just the local rules

Don't forget all the moaning and groaning that goes with being a licensed driver, oh and the kebabs.

Whenever I stop for a kebab and I'm wearing my PH badge and company shirt I often get either a discount or a free can of drink. I wonder if this is one of the many unexpected perks of the job

We get to eat kebabs?
I thought that would never happen on the job, don't you need to drive sober?
Don't think I've ever managed a kebab sober.

I think it's the norm from the kebab houses for taxi drivers, they know what side their bread is buttered on

Well I'm still not licenced but I have started the moaning,

Just failed the driving test due completely to 'bad habits' I've picked up, but then who the hell still drives the way they did when they first learned?

If we all drove like that we would never get anywhere.
