On thursday the police pulled one of my drivers over and gave him a fixed penalty notice and 3 penalty points for loading a passenger near the zigzags of a pedestrian crossing in an area of the town which is supposed to be a loading zone but which is always full of parked cars making it almost impossible to pick up and set down passengers. Tonight a police car was sat at the bottom of the high street watching this area and completely ignored at least one car parking on the zigzags to use the cash machine adjacent

A couple of months back I was given a stern lecturing by police for dropping a passenger off in the loading zone I challenged the local sargeant about this and the response was don't waste my time !!!!!

Near the Zig Zags or on the Zig Zags ? If it was actually on them then there really is no excuse - Everyone knows that stopping on Zig Zags is an endorsable offence (well they should do).

As for inconsistency - It really depends on the Particular Policeman, some have pet hates like parking on Zig Zags others mobile phones etc.

Unless the law was enforced by robots it is inevitable.
