CRIME REPORTS: Woman Poops in Fountain, Cabbie Mugged
Here are various reports pulled from the San Clemente Police Services dispatch log over the past few days.

October 14, 2011

At 4:23 a.m. Friday, a caller reported unknown trouble in the 900 block of Avenida Pico. According to the report, the informant saw a Nissan off the side of the road down an embankment. They checked to see if anyone was inside but nobody was in the vehicle. The vehicle was approximately 400 meters from Lowes.

At 3:22 a.m. Friday, a caller reported hearing a fire arm in the 2900 block of Arreos. The informant reported hearing a single shot fired.

At 1:34 a.m. Friday, police arrested a 21-year-old-man in the 200 block of El Camino Real. The man was arrested for attacking a woman taxi cab driver at Goody’s Tavern. The woman was bleeding from the hand and almost broke her neck, but denied help from firefighters. The man was detained by a Goody’s bouncer. He was taken into custody and bail was posted for $500.

At 11:41 p.m. Thursday, a caller reported a suspicious person in the 500 block of El Camino Real. The informant wanted to press charges against a man who was holding a sign in front of Consignment Design Concepts advertising the store sells stolen merchandise. This has been an ongoing issue.

At 10:06 a.m. Thursday, police a arrested a 26-year-old-woman in the 1500 block of Avenida De La Estrella. According to the report, the woman was acting strange and kept wandering into the Moen Woodworks business.

At 4:22 p.m. Wednesday police arrested a 62-year-old-woman in the 400 block of El Camino Real. According the report, local transient woman well-known for screaming at passers-by, was sitting on a restaurants patio with her pants down around her ankles. She then proceeded to defecate in their fountain. She was taken into custody and has since been released.

At 9:35 a.m. Wednesday, a caller reported an assault with a deadly weapon near the South Ola Vista and Avenida De Los Lobos Marinos intersection. The informant's ex-boyfriend had rammed his vehicle into her 92 Oldsmobile Cutlass.

At 9:44 p.m. Tuesday, police assisted an outside agency in the 200 block of Via Socorro. Firefighters and police were assisting an 89-year-old man who was having a heart attack and stopped breathing. The man's wife was doing CPR when they arrived. He was transported to San Clemente Hospital.

At 3:35 p.m. Tuesday, a caller reported a drunk in public near the 1600 block of El Camino Real. According to the report, a man was intoxicated and was continuing to drink near the Self Storage at North Beach. The man was blocking the entrance to the business school with all of his belongings.

At 10:51 a.m. Tuesday, police were called to investigate a person down in the 900 block of Avenida Pico. According to the report, a 50-year-old woman had fallen into the bushes and was disoriented. Firefighters were en route.
