Official: TDO's Jasbar booted off the TDO Factor
It's the end for the controversial TDO member
TDO Factor hopeful Jasbar has been kicked off the show. The 79-year-old from Edinburgh has sparked controversy week after week due to his comparatively limp performances.
Jasbar: He apparently broke "a golden rule".
The TDO press office has released a statement: "Jasbar is leaving the show today after breaking competition rules.
He is going to take some time out before continuing his career as a court jester. We wish him all the best for his future.”
Jasbars official statement says: “Hic...I’d like to apologise to Gary, my fellow contestants and everyone who has voted for me, but, as of today (TUES), I will no longer be in The TDO Factor.
My life during the show has gone out of control and my behaviour off stage has over-stepped the rules of the competition, I particularly want to apologise to the poodle. I no longer deserve my place in the show, so I am therefore leaving. I would like to thank everyone who has supported me.” His reported boozing antics and on-screen swearing have already prompted a probe by TV regulator Ofcom.
His behaviour has contributed to an investigation of three potential breaches of the programme code by the ITV1 series.
Ofcom will investigate whether Jasbar fell foul of rules about swearing after he was seen to shout "f****** have it - get in there...your me best mate you hic", when he learned he was through to the next round of the competition during the October 23 results show.
The watchdog is also looking at a programme the night before in which Jasbar - who has established a reputation as a "t*sser of the first order" and a "complete c*nt" - was seen on a night out with friends, which may have breached the code's rules on glamorising alcohol use.
From his very first 'cheeky' appearance, which saw the Edinburgh OAP display his tattooed-with-female-conquests bum to millions, Jasbar has been an infamous TDO Factor contestant.
Now it appears that wishes of many have been answered; he's off the show without singing a further note.
