Post subject:  Improving the view.
Dead opposite the station in Lowestoft,opposite the taxi rank is an old large empty building known locally as the 'Tuttles building' Its being allowed to become derelict and is the first thing commuters coming off the train see. Its probably enough of an eyesore to choke most of them off from coming back.
This petition http://www.petitiononline.co.uk/petition/save-a-part-of-lowestofts-heritagethe-old-tuttles-building/3858 was started by some locals to try and bring the issue forward and persuade the council or the buildings owners to do something about it.
Some of you might have been to Lowestoft,some might have even worked from the station rank.

Do you have a picture wasn't there a major redevelopment of the area including the station being moved or am I thinking of the wrong town and is that perhaps why the building is out of use ?

There was talk of moving the station (which to be honest could do with demolition as its a real filthy eyesore) but like lots of other plans for the town it came to nothing.
Lowestoft has had millions thrown at it but its still a mess.This building has been left empty for years with its owners waiting untill it gets so bad they they get grants and hadouts to do something wth it.In the meanwhile the other businesses around struggle as the run down nature of the area does nothing to attract anyone whos going to spend any money in the town,on taxis or any thing else.[url][URL=http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/10/tuttles1.jpg/]Image[/url]
