Taxi Driver Online

Dear Forum members (particularly the Glasgow members),

I`m following up my "Starting up in Glasgow" queery of a week or so ago.

I'm still unsure as to which Glasgow company to start up with. I would ideally follow the earlier advice given by the forum members who suggested I start with a larger firm - at least to begin with.

I live in the south east of the city and would be grateful for any suggestions; especially as to which ones I should perhaps avoid!

The obviously larger firms are: A Cars, Hampden, Dominos, Network, Glasgow Private hire etc but I would really appreciate your help on this as I don't want to make a serious mistake if I can possibly avoid it. I'm really counting on you guys out there who know the ins and outs of the Glasgow Private hire trade.

Dont know about your area but in mine we only have a few big firm (30 cars) but most of us are one/two man bands that just work the ranks and our own phones.

You have listed the biggest ones in that part of the City. They all have data systems. It all depends what you want to do. Also the price of the radio rent compared to work etc.

Go and speak to them and see what they have to offer.
