Hi Everyone

Do you have problems with your Council? Do they not listen to the reasonable requests of you or your association?

As Chairman of the Guildford Hackney Association, I should like to suggest to all Taxi Drivers, that next year we have a once in a lifetime opportunity to bring pressure to bear on Local Councils that are not listening to our just complaints.

My idea is to arrange peaceful marches, with banners, out lining your most important protests, in front of all the worlds cameras as the Olympic

Torch makes it’s way around the country, next summer. As luck has it, the last Olympic flame procession before London will be at Guildford, but you may have processions in or near your own areas.

Bob Crowe has demonstrated how this worked for London train people, this is probably the only time that you will ever have this amount of bargaining power.
I’m looking for support for this idea, from all over the UK.

As if this country doesn't have enough problems without another nutter trying to get noticed. You never know one of the protests organised in your name may turn violent and a riot may ensue. Then maybe you will get locked up like some of the facebook warriors did last summer.
We should be applauding the Olympic torch relay as the forerunner to the greatest sporting event that this country will host for years and not using it as a platform for protest.
