or tarriff 4 here in bpool caused me untold problems and im sure cost us many customers as our competitor only had tarriff 3.we had it run from 6pm 24th dec till 6am 27th and 6pm 31st till 6am 2nd.now i think we cud of changed the times a little or perhaps had the meters run differently if possible ie not start on double, but go up in 30ps instead of 20ps.

last nite i had 2 guys nearly kick off with me even tho before i set off i explained then a few hundred yards up the road they lost it and got very very threatning with me.i called the police who could here them losing it luckily they got out i locked the doors and slightly opened the windows so the police cud listen.they told me they had no cars available and would be in touch for a statement great help eh.

Tell the coppers you were going to shoot them if they didn't stop kicking off. They would have been with you in minutes.

Yup as per usual people expect you to work unsocial hours and enable them to go partying but begrudge paying a reasonable rate for the service

It's the same all over the place, they'll go into a pub and pay over £3 for a bottle of beer and drink 10 bottles but, won't pay a £5 Taxi fare to get home.

I'm really not convinced the trade does itself any favours by charging double meter.

Its not really "double meter"as such ,its a 5.20 start and to be honest the sh1te i picked up on the streets on new years eve i deserved it.Some people didnt charge it its their choice but personally i dont do discounts and think its well deserved.

The rate in our borough is double fare for all bank holidays. It has not been a problem for us. We tell customers who phone what the rate is and we tell passengers that flag us down before they get in the car.

Our flagfall on double rate is £5.00 and I agree it is well deserved.

im not for one second saying iys not deserved im saying it causes problems and will have lost us customers.is there a way to better hide it in the meter ie for it to not start at £5.20 but go up quicker or bigger if you get what i mean.the starting amount caused me big issues
