Gritting lorries were out around 1pm today 5 hours before the snow started and surprise surprise the traffic had cleared it all off the roads and the roads are as if they had never been gritted now we have 2 inches deep of snow gritters have been spotted out too late now even the A1 is only manageable at 20MPH If the grit had gone down at 4pm when they normally grit I'm sure the roads would have been more manageable !And of course all the clubbers are desperate to get to central and my cars are struggling its turning into a right disaster turning them away left right and centre because we are the oly ones still answering our phones

Most English councils don't have anywhere near enough gritters. |

This is when road salt works best. |

Our council uses a liquid spray on many roads thats why the cars all picked it up and removed it on their tyres except a thin strip in the middle of the carriageway |

(and the M6 toll doesnt have the traffic numbers that the other roads get, resulting less income) AND i only pay for the M6 toll when i use it, whereas even my road tax is more than my toll fees |

Next lot on its way apparently I just hope the council times it right this time or the snow comes from the west in which case it usually misses us thanks to our guardian angel puddle ! |
