I just don't believe some parents. We have snow everywhere. I went to pick up the kids for one of the runs and some of the roads needed extreme care. This meant that we were running a bit late. One parent rang me and gave me a right mouthful saying that the transport didn't arrive. I tried to tell her that due to the adverse weather things were running late but she wasn't having any of it. She said that it was our duty to ring parents and let them know what is happening. I tried to tell her that we transport nearly 100 students and that it would be impossible to ring them all and keep them informed about every vehicle but you waste your breath.

Can't please some of them. Maybe she wanted to watch Jeremy Kyle without her kids being there.

No snow here foggy and damp
It should be up to the council to inform the parents, and if the roads are bad its the owners decision as to if they go out and collect the kids if the roads are dangerous you dont go

Perhaps she thought you should have left earlier to take into account the adverse weather conditions

Leaving earlier is not an option. The first pick up has to be at the stated time or the passenger will not be ready. The rest follow when you get there. Under normal conditions this obviously works to the timetable.

Toots you obviously dont know the area we constantly get it on normal bookings people giving you a right mouthful because you are expected to have staff on hand phoning customers to give them constant updates on every little problem !!!!!! People in this part of the country really do expect you to treat them like royalty

I merely gave an explanation of what the parents may expect, so if you please will you open your mouth and let me get my head out

If she wants to know what's happening then tell her to look out the f***ing window. [-(

That is exactly what I sugested that she did................ but without the swearing (but I wanted to).
The best bit was taking them home this afternoon. My wife was driving and managed to get stuck on a hill with just her 2 kids on board and mummy had to come out and get them. Mind you it cost me a tenner to get the bus free.

That's one of the many reasons I don't do school or social work.

You can have all of my share of that stuff and seconds too!
