We are looking at increasing the Tariffs in our manor in the next couple of months. I'm wondering what to put in as a reasonable tariff?

Here is the Current fare table. Rentals for vehicles this area range from £165 for half rent upto £270 -£280 for full rent. As you're all aware the increased prices in fuel and other associated add ons has hit everyone.

You could try simplifying the tariff sheet for a start
dispense with all the bank holiday charges
So it would be something like ours

I take it you don't use a fares formula?

If not I personally wouldn't move the flag, but maybe up the mileage rate for 1 to £2.00 a mile, and 2 to £2.30/2.40.

Or reduce the initial yardage so the clock ticks over quicker to the first drop.

That's what I was thinking of, when people see the flag they think "ouch" that's high.

Our flagfall has just been put up to £1.70 with £1.80 per mile and we have people discounting that quite heavily !!

I would say wait a little longer and see if the fuel continues to escalate if it doesn't then a little less yardage for your £3.00 would give you a little more on each fare without alarming the customers if it does continue to escalate then I think £2.00 per mile might become realistic IF passengers round your way would pay it

I prefer a £3 flag for first mile, with a 1.70 flag if you do only half a mile you only get 1.70,not worth opening the door.

1 mile fare T2 is now £4.77. £4.00
2 mile fare T1 is now £5.38. £4.80
2 mile fare T2 is now £7.11. £6.20
5 mile fare T1 is now £10.74. £10.20
