Lady asked me to take her to an address today about a mile away, which I agreed to do.

She moaned about the "disgusting" (£3) flagfall.

She moaned about the red traffic lights.

She moaned about the railway crossing gates closing.

She moaned about the meter ticking over whilst stationary.

She moaned about the £5:20 fare.

And then...........................

.................She asked to come back for her at 1345    couldn't make it up.

Told her I was busy........

If the Brighton marathon was longer than the London one. #-o

I like the ones who ask how much the fares are.....I look at them and say....you probably can't afford it.

When I get this how much call I simply say.....yeah I know, it's so cheap I dunno how I do it either,

Gets either a laugh or I have to nip n' tuck.

I was always in the habit of saying 'that'll be 550 million quid, please' anything after that sounds super cheap

I must add before Sussex has a go at me, I am PH, so only used to do that when I had my HC, which, so that someone can have a go at me as well as Sussex, I sold in 1989!

And another thing, for the benefit of others, if you sell your plate in Brighton you cannot be on the waiting list for another!
