Firstly, we all have a laugh about Blackpool's fleet of old cabs, but at the weekend I saw a Blackpool Fairway at a motorway service station just outside Glasgow. I'd never have believed a Blackpool cab could get this far. The boot was open with suitcases sticking out and it was pouring with rain at the time. If he was going back to Blackpool then they'd have been bloody soaking at the end of the hire. Has anyone seen Patons' advert in the April edition of On Rank? They're advertising the limited edition TXII 'Saltire'. It's got quite a few nice extras and comes in Platinum Silver. I wouldn't mind having a look at one of these. |

I think at long last Blackpool council are trying to improve their cab fleet. Maybe making the older ones do two tests a year, and having a proper age limit. All they have to do now is to sort the s*** hole called the 'Golden Mile' out.
