Hmmm, very interesting, the way it looks now it's not Anton whose upset by it all, in fact it looks like someone made a case out of it on purpose, it looks like two blokes who know each other well who were slinging it about at each other without thinking anything more about it, nice of the media to make it look all poor little black boy getting picked on by the nasty white boy when all it is is two lads having a laugh at each other, until I read this it had destroyed Anton in my eyes, after I see it for what it is, a storm in a tea cup about nothing and one man being forced to get another in trouble cos there is money involved, I thought it strange when Rio played it all down at the time, seems them Ferdi boys are ok after all. |

I still don't really think there is a case myself, had JT been walking through a shopping centre and called a stranger those sort of names then maybe so, but you can just see this is 2 footballer's who had a 10 second clash on the pitch who are normally friends I would think, next time you bang your finger with a hammer see what comes out of your mouth and then you will see exactly what happened on that pitch, Poor Anton now has to live with this as well, someone blew a molehill and he'll be forever tainted as the one who went crying about it when it looks like he never did. |

Is it actually racist? The guy is "black", which in itself is descriptive. Whatever he called him is not necessarily (in my eyes) racist.............. however the rest may be libel. E.g Some might call me a white tw4t - I am white and I would disagree about the tw4t bit - having said that there are some who would say it was all the truth

E.g Some might call me a white tw4t - I am white and I would disagree about the tw4t bit - having said that there are some who would say it was all the truth I've always seen it that way as well John, seems you can rip it out of an Irishman, Pole or many others without no recourse, but mention that shade or certain shortened versions of country and hell freezes over, I actually believe if the fuss stopped so would the calling as well, it comes down to the old provoke to get reaction in my eyes, I find in the few instances of hassle I've had with this type of person actually not using the offensive words seems to phase them completely and puts a pin in their balloon as they are expecting to get called something they can then use against you and when it doesn't arrive they don't know what to do. Why didn't he call me a BB? Why didn't he call me an f'in community gardener? What am I going to go to the police with now? |
