Some fool will pay the over inflated asking price for tickets no matter who's on stage, get two flies humping on a big screen and some fool will pay top dollar.

The closing ceremony will be brilliant, because it means the [edited by admin] games are finished and Londons economy might start to recover.

And now we know he was wrong.

Just back from a fabulous weekend in London. Today, walked down the Mall, in the middle of the road, no traffic. Times may be rough in your terms at the moment, GBC but in weeks and months and years to come it will certainly bring in the tourists. Everyone I spoke to over the last three days, from all over the world, were loving it, and will be back for certain. Take a few days off and enjoy the spectacle. I did and it was tremendous. Go team GB!!!

1 more gold and the transit will be to small. Why is your glass always half empty? Team GB will most likely win more medals than 4 years ago which is a great achievement.
Tennis was an Olympic event over 100 years ago. It was dropped for a while but I think it was brought back around 24 years ago. Tim Henman won a silver medal at the Olympics a few years back. Proffessionals have been competing at the Olympics for years now. The football tournament is mainly proffesional players. The difference is that you don't get paid for competing in the Olympics. Ever wondered why Paula Radcliff won everything that she was being paid to run in but never did any good at the Olympics? Anyway, most of the athletes from developed countries are full time sportsmen and women now, funding for our own comming from the national lottery and sponsorship.
