I travel a country lane home, about 2 miles, single track "with passing places" Tonight I gave way to oncoming traffic and the bloke behind me objected, pipped his horn and gesticulated his displeasure one day i wont ignore these plebs, one day they will learn of my upset.....even a worm will turn |

a pushbike couldnt get past, the widest bits are barely 2 cars wide, ive had a woman oncoming at me try getting thru where there was no space and remove my door mirror, the other day i came to a steady right hand bend and slowed down, good job too cos a yummy-mummy coming towards me way too fast (and clearly having to give way to me cos i was in a 1 car section) slammed her anchors on, slid then had to reverse 20 yds to let me thru, trouble is i meet the mums heading home at 08.50-09.15 in range rovers, beemers, etc - and we all know buying one of those means you get priority.... |

If I were you I should check with your LA if you can plate an armoured personnel carrier I'm sure they've got loads for sale up at South Witham. I'm sure you have a good case to argue that having done a health and safety risk assessment you have concluded that nothing else will guarantee the childrens safety ! |

I did actually ask our transport department if I could use an ex group 4 prison van for transporting some troublesome kids to school. They said no.
