* pick up at such-n- such corner shop.... on arrival spot the painter and decorater, standing still in full blobbed overalls.

Hello, I'll get you a seat cover to sit on
OK drives... think its dry... but am a bit of mess, thinking about it
... Trip goes fine

* pick up at such-n-such cafe.... on arrival two run out.

First one piled with gateaus, top one completely uncovered
Might be best to come sit in the front with that lot.. politely suggested
What? Can't see the point of bothering with that.

Second one trying to cradle two shallow plates covered but seen dripping off the sides... also on closer look the person has clumps of slimey fat all over his lap leg... is now slumped in back seat and fat is over seat and being smudged.
Hang on, thats not on, you are getting fat over the seats.....
What fat. Be alright. What's your f...king problem
... Trip goes not so fine...
.... well doesn't go actually... Get that stuff out of here!... car off road while flash the fat out the seat... and also deal with what I consider "I want my way" insulting attitude.

* Most people do 'consider the car'... or at least stop and then consider ok.
* Some just seem to not actually seem to want to.

I've seen "no food no drink consume" notices.... Ive seen "soil charge" notices (more aimed at high end icky business).... but fresh cream, fat, gloss paint etc etc is not good for car interior or consideration to next customers clothing

Obviously to anticipate and prevent entry, prevents soiling in first place... but a reason would need be given to the customer... so to help out.... to help educate:
What clear door sticker messege would help these people "learn", "understand", "evolve"?

just for fun.... unless it is actually more common than I know.... in which case.... get the sticker printed.

Ask for the soiling money up front- that usually deters them.

Like the group I picked up last night; one wanted to get in the car with a nearly full pint of beer. Sorry, you'll have to leave that outside.Oh, if I spill any I'll pay you cleaning money.

Nope, because if you spill it I'll lose the rest of the night's earnings AND you'll have my mrs to deal with (she's the boss of the firm)..

so the beer was tipped away PDQ.

Then into the journey, If I give you a big tip, can we smoke in here? the other drivers let us.

Nope.

Oh, you're strict with the rules.

Yes, and I'm strict with my maintenance too!

They didn't smoke, and I still got a good tip from them. And the car was still spotless! 8)

Having it on the tariff and getting it from the punters are 2 different things.

Criminal damage if they don't pay up pretty simple really.

Not round here it isn't, only last week one woman threw up in one of our cabs and the driver took her to the Police Station, the coppers came out and said, "you either pay the charge or you get locked up". She phoned her dad who came and paid it plus lost time to the driver.

A few letters to the Chief Inspector informing him that the Police are refusing to act when incidents are being recorded.

It works really well.
