In light of the LC report being due very soon would it be worth a gamble to buy a plate? In my LA (restricted) plate values have fallen from a hight of £43,000 to around £18,000 now one is available for £12,000 . I pay around £5,000 in rent a year for a plate. Should i take the gamble and buy the plate ? advance thank yous for your replys. |

Whatever happens I don't think will come into being for at least 2-3 years at the earliest. The LC might even suggest a longer lead in period. So you must do what's best for you, but I doubt you will lose out if you 'buy' the plate and car at that price. It's just that you might not gain much in the longer term.

Dont forget you cannot just buy the plate, the vehicle must come with it, then if you wish transfer it to another vehicle |
