I see you've posted on the Edinburgh forum that in London you can rent a 60 reg TX4 taxi for under £140 a week.

Go on Skippy, tell us all where? Lots of London cabbies are now looking for this magic garage.

The reality is of course, that if you can find a 60 reg for under £230, you really are doing well.

Then you go on about renting with or without insurance? Wtf?

When you rent a taxi skippy, strangely enough the insurance is included, along with repairs, breakdown and all the trimmings, that's why some drivers rent.

I've always found it best if you know sfa about a subject or indeed a licensing area, it's probably best not to comment.

Cheers.

Aw c'mon we all know how skippy loves to exaggerate but where would we be if we didn't have him to poke fun at ?

I have 4 drivers now renting saloon car hackneys they pay £180 a week from Highways in Nottingham but you get what you pay for if you want a descent motor rental would have to be £200 + per week anything at £140 level would just be a heap of junk that can barely pass a test

Since you are posting again Skippy, I've now got about 230 drivers looking for this bargain rental garage.

Any updates for its location?

Well when they where available, you could buy a new one for around £500 a month so divide that by 4
A Vito cannot be far from that either new

I was trying to extract the [edited by admin] up there and get a potential driver a better deal :D
But you can get an E7 for less allegedly
And the new Nissan for even less as it dont need the antic steering requirement.
See what happens when you live in London your brain gets minced, and you tend to forget there is a real world out there

Since when has the "new nissan" not needed the turning circle ? Think youll find the london one does have the required turning circle when it becomes available.

Yeah, I was just reading another thread about the 'real world out there' Skippy, where a driver worked 17 hours for £130 quid.

I think I'll stick to London.

I'd stick to London as well if I were you. Don't forget that he had to pay all be £53.00 to the owner. I'd say that there is one born every minute but I think there may be at least 2 born every minute now.
