Did a pal's wedding photos 2 weeks ago, £300 for 4 hours work, SO if you have a DSLR (Nikon 7000 or Canon 60d,) for sale (upto £600) please PM me, maybe we do a deal? (and any lens to suite and a flashgun)

If you are good at it it can be very lucrative BUT there are a lot of very highly trained (university degree) professionals out there chasing that sort of work and a really good digital SLR will set you back £10000 !!!

Cheers, id never be arty-farty but having had 4 family weddings in 18 months Ive seen some right shoddy mickey takes, £500 for 40 pictures at mates rates!

I'll second that.

At my son's wedding two years ago, the two photographers were using five cameras plus other equipment. Total value estimated at between £35K and £50K.
