My insurance is up for renewal.

Among a number of companies that I have contacted, one is coming up so much cheaper than the rest is "Insure taxi" - the doubts have crept in..............Does anyone know anything about them - are they alright?....................£400 cheaper than "Westminster"!!

As a matter of interest are you guys including "Public Liability" cover in your insurances as that is an additional cost. The other thing that has just come to mind is that I would think that a 7/8 seater would cost more to insure than say a 4 seater - am I right or wrong?

If I am right then it will be a bit more accurate to state the bits and pieces that are NOT included in ones insurance, as it could give an unintentional false idea that ones insurance is cheaper.

£5,000,000 public liability is usually included in the premium.

A mate of mine, yes they do exist, insures his 8-seater cheaper than my 4-seater.

Apparently there are more insurance firms in the small psv market than the taxi/PH market, and a 8-seater is insured as a 9-seater, if you know what I mean.
