When you get in my car and are going less than 1/2 mile don't start giving me directions, or say which route to go because it's quicker/shorter.
After I've just driven you 20 miles along different roads, negotiated many junctions and turnings and we're within 100yds of the destination don't say 'it's the next left'.

When it's the coldest night of the year don't climb in and then immediately wind the window all the way down.

When it's the coldest night of the year don't open the car door, stand there chatting to your mate, then get in and ask for the heater to be turned up 'cos it's bloody freezing in here'. Especially when all you're wearing is a mini-skirt and t-shirt !

When you book a taxi for 9pm, come out at ten past and say 'two minutes', then another five minutes later when you eventually decide to get in don't then wonder why I won't give you a discount, or start complaining that I have an 'attitude'.

If you're going to have a conversation with your mates don't ask for the radio to be turned up louder and louder and then have to shout at the person next to you.

^^Just don't ever, ever mess with the radio, changing the volume or switching stations without first asking.

Ask how much is it when they havent took there eyes of the meter all the way.

Tell there m8 text me when you get in so they know you get home ok ,I then tell them text your friend to say you got home ok or is it the taxi driver texting with your fone.

I'd have been gone by 21.04 if there was no sign of them

when they're just getting in and they're already screwing at the meter, especially the ones that confuse the time with the hackney starting price!!

I waited 20 minutes for a booked fare on Saturday night and then left without them. It was another 10 minutes before they rang to say that the car hadn't turned up. I didn't go back for them. They were in the middle of nowhere at a golf course and probably had to wait an hour in the cold for another car. Hopefully the next time the driver wont have to wait.

My usual reply to that one is, "Thank God you told me, I guessed the last twenty miles of the route and it's only by pure luck that we got so near to your destination!"

Or, every time they direct you, just say, "That's correct!"

Thank God I drive a taxi with a dividing partition screen.

It keeps the livestock away from me.

And the radio is always 'coded-out' since the last service.
