Depends on the cost of offices, type of advertising, system etc and do you already have 20 drivers available?

The advertising could involve those 20 drivers doing a lot of leg work, rather than monetary.

As for the pda and computer set up, give Bill a PM.

Undercut the council set rate and promote it well enough, and the punters will come.

I thought that Skippy had posted this.
So do you mean work for nothing?

Most certainly not.

But the punters wont change their firms just for the love of it.

I find that by offering a better service than the other companys, we are increasing our customer base. We always charge the metered rate for in borough jobs. Discounting or undercutting is for mugs. Anyone can work for nothing. Our drivers take home more now that they ever have when they worked for the other companys in the town. Take last night for instance, we had 3 drivers out, which is good for a town the size of ours. After paying us for their mileage, they each took home between £16 and £20 per hour.

Firstly what happens is only half the 20 stump up, 1 of those that dont is a whistle blower, the base boss finds out, he has a vested interest in stopping it, the ringleaders are kicked off the circuit, it takes a while to get set up so unless they are hacks or go work for another base they are not earning.....end of.

(been there...............done that)

20 is too many for a new base, 10 is enough, work will be tight till the number is advertised in press and yellow pages, but it is a fact every number gets calls, punters are like that
