Taxi Driver Online :: View topic - Why can't people find out the address first !

is the entire female race devoid of common sense !!!!

well tonight I have had 2 in a row "forget" to tell me they needed a 6 seater and it was the same car went for both so one very cheesed off driver :roll:

but only one that didn't know what address she was at =D>

I hate it when they get in and say, "take me home". My reply is, "come on then give us a clue".

I had this on the phone:

Where would you like to be picked up from?

Such and such village

And what address?

I'm not sure of the address - its a big house.....

Whereabouts?

Its behind a big tree that's next to the pig farm that's not there anymore

I give up sometimes!

I had one yesterday, a young couple ordered a taxi to take them home from Iceland.

I hate it when it's a long dark country lane where there are no street numbers and dozens of houses and the address is given as 'Rose Cottage' or similar, or when it's 'Freds Farm', except the farm isn't on the main road but down an access lane and they don't put a sign at the end of the lane letting people know. Or just as bad when it's a main road several miles long and a house name is given rather than a number. Go on, give us a clue which bit of the road is it ?

Ordinary streets are just as bad when none of the feckers can be bothered to put numbers on their doors. I think it should be like parts of the US where it is compulsory to have house numbers painted on the kerb or gatepost.

amother one I really hate are the ones that refuse to give you the address just the postcode for the satnav :roll:

thats the 12th one tonight can i have a taxi from blah blah road yes which house answer i don't know you then have to stay on the phone for 2 minutes whilst listening to them screaming to someone clearly elsewhere in the house to find the address and all 123 were girls !!!!!! is the entire female race devoid of common sense !!!!

Some times it is like pulling teeth. Can I have a taxi please? Where from? Such and such village. Where in the village? The main road. Where on the main road? Near the post box. Just give me the f*****g address!

I get there and there are the 2 adults, 2 children and a baby in a buggy. I tell them that I can only take 4 passengers and the mother says " come on, it's only a baby. The others take us." Daddy walked!

amother one I really hate are the ones that refuse to give you the address just the postcode for the satnav we have a particular hamlet near here where the same post code covers houses 2 miles apart !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and last night someone wanted picking up from said hamlet it took me nearly 4 minutes to get him to give me the address
