Need to work a tad on their public image..... Raffles are a bunch of idiots who don't care about their customer. We pre booked two cabs to collect us and bring us back from MK Theatre, collected us fine however it snowed so the driver decided not to collect us, called Raffles for an hour while standing outside in the cold to get told "Sorry, nothing we can do we're fully booked" so myself, my wife and six year old son had to walk two hours in the snow to get home. Never again, we now use Skyline and have never been let down.Using Raffles is like the lottery, in fact you have more chance of winning the lottery than a Raffles cab turning up, you just can't rely on them, however if you have no real plans and like spending time looking out of your window or standing on a cold corner with your phone stuck to your ear chasing your cab then use them….
As mentioned below "idiots" ! should be closed down. They have today for the second time accepted a booking from me told me they will be with me in five mins and not turned up!!!!!!!!
Now i dont take the five mins literally and leave a while before I ring them at 21.20 to ask was it on the way, to get told should definately be with you in 5 mins.
They did not turn up, so at gone 21.30 I rang up speedline to ask could they rescue me due to my food was starting to deforst. Speedline said they would be with me in five mins and yep they came.
When i got home i rang raffles out of interest to ask why take my booking when not turning up to get we waited at the supermarket till 21.37, so yep they either did not turn up or turned up the second we left!!!!!!!!! So with raffles their five mins is a guaranted in my instance of 35-40 or not turn up at all.
I rang them politely asking why let me down and the woman said I am not bothered aking to a catherine tate response!!!!!!!!
Tell you what I was bothered as had done a months food shop and wont bother to use them again and instead will use the alternative speedline who were on top form today for me.
Told son what happend and he said why did you ring them, they were the same firm who let me down outside asdas on xmas eve, with no way of getting home and in the end we had to borrow and asda trolley push it all the way home and then my son with friend had to return the trolley. I had forgot this, so I suspect raffles does not like supermarket shops, SO WHY TAKE THE BOOKINGS!!!!!!!!!!!
Next time local firms moan that an northampton based firm is supposedly taking their business with a gentle beg to remind local people to perhaps as I read the article support their, own , my new attitude will be to look after myself!!!!!!!!! and raffles can * off.The driver took me go around the city but my destination, and keep talking even though I am really fed up, and his one hand always put on his thing, make me disgusting. After arrive the destination he overcharge me even though I told him he went to the wrong way, and this should not be the right price. He pretend call the company and ask the price, and gave me his price. The customer service are also disappointing, I made my first complain, wait for few days no response, after I ring them they told me there no record. I complain again, then few hours they inform me they need give me a call 5 days later, because they only response customers from Monday to Wednesday. Very disappointing, not recommend at all.
