Whilst sitting on the rank this afternoon there was a mini decided to park in the car park of some offices opposite (which has quite a slope) A minute later there is a dull scrunch noise followed by the car alarm going off ! The dopey idiot hadn't put his handbrake on the car was nicely embedded into a stone block protecting the front lawn and retaining wall 10 minutes later the chap appeared and as he reached the street sprinted across to his car amazingly only a scuffed and dented bumper !!I bet he felt a right pratt |

i went to my daugters house a few yeas ago to see her new born, was in my H plate sierra taxi and stopped and went in, the street was on a slope but not to steep, we went in for a while and when i came back out the taxi had gone! then looked down the bottom of the street but luckily there was no cars in front of it and it just rolled onto the grass, was my fault forgot to put the hand brake on |

Looks like the Police have no Idea either. Man hit and killed by rolling police van in Pudsey Park http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-leeds-22744345 An elderly man died when an unattended police van rolled forward and hit him in a park in West Yorkshire. The man was struck by the van in Pudsey Park when the vehicle moved after officers called to deal with a disturbance in the park got out of it. Paramedics were called to the park, in Church Lane, at 14:15 BST on Saturday, but the man died of his injuries. The incident has been referred to the Independent Police Complaints Commission. 'Terrible, terrible accident' Floral tributes at Pudsey Park Tributes to the man who died have been left at the park by local residents A number of floral tributes have been left near the scene by local residents. One includes a card which reads: "Granddad, will miss you loads. Love you forever and always". Stuart Andrew, Conservative MP for Pudsey, said the man's death was "extremely sad news". "Obviously, we don't know the precise details of what has happened, but it seems there has been a terrible, terrible accident. "Our thoughts are with the relatives of the poor pensioner who has lost his life." Now, Had it been you or I who had let this "Terrible Accident" Happen, this would be us up on some charge of careless driving or such like!!!

well yesterday we had 2 candidates 1) the "135 sweetie shop" cabs driver who is licensed for 4 but picked up 5 passengers from the house next door to one of my drivers going to the Danish ! ( I ended up getting the return when they didn't dare risk taking it on after getting caught the first time )2) The Raf pilot who did his display (in the DC3) above the local playing field next to the Danish when I picked up the return on the above fare instead of the meadows about a mile away where the event he was supposed to be attending was taking place ! (Normally they send a spitfire) Vote now the Cabbie or the Pilot !!! |

And todays Dunce of the day The driver who poached one of our bookings from a pick up point OVER THE BORDER in East Northants back to town. Our driver had a no pick up BUT the customer lost his keys in the car and phoned me up enabling me to identify the vehicle concerned. So the driver of SKDC plate 119 is about to get an official complaint for taking a flagdown/touting outside the area he is licensed for ! Wether or not I can get the complaint taken seriously or not is another matter because it might well be treated as malicious but here's hoping |
