From 1st June 2013, all drivers working the taxi rank at Birmingham Airport now have to wear full uniform. Black trousers, black socks, white shirt with top button fastened, clip-on [only] dark navy tie covering the shirt top button [stops the chest and belly tie versions], black shoes, black v-neck jumper or gilet, black jacket [optional] black coat [optional]. Eat your heart out Captain! |

Well I suppose people coming from other countries getting into taxis out the airport and getting a smartly dressed driver will give a good first impression but a bit over the top if you ask me |

Drivers have a choice, smart and clean work the airport, scruffy and smelly work elsewhere. Good move.

Get off a plane at Malaga, Barcelona or Madrid and they are well dressed, in trousers and neat shirts, at BHX all i see are PJ's and beards.... |

What a load of bollox,you can still be a dirty,scruffy cant in trousers and shirt.What next are they gonna check see if youve washed properly ? The scruffiest taxi driver i know allways has shirt and trousers on(although there the same pair all year !)
