From 1st June 2013, all drivers working the taxi rank at Birmingham Airport now have to wear full uniform.

Black trousers, black socks, white shirt with top button fastened, clip-on [only] dark navy tie covering the shirt top button [stops the chest and belly tie versions], black shoes, black v-neck jumper or gilet, black jacket [optional] black coat [optional].

Eat your heart out Captain!

Well I suppose people coming from other countries getting into taxis out the airport and getting a smartly dressed driver will give a good first impression but a bit over the top if you ask me

And I thought I was the above, we should start a helpline for Cabbies who want to commit suicide, @ £1.50 a minute we'll make a fortune.

One call to either of you 2 would be all it takes to finish them off. So I doubt that there will be a fortune to be made.

Drivers have a choice, smart and clean work the airport, scruffy and smelly work elsewhere.

Good move. =D>

If you want creases in your clothes you need the iron I've got, one of these bad boys, @ £200 a time they are the bollox when it comes to ironing. Just one blast of steam and the creases stay in for week even after they've been washed.

I thought that the taxi drivers at BHX have had to be smartly dressed since the current contract was won a couple of years ago.
