A year or so ago there was a ph driver in my area who lost his ph entitlement due to ill health, reportedly he had 2 strokes and was deemed medically unfit. Needless to say he carried on carrying people for hire and reward "to do them a favour". This was reported many times by a number of ph and hacks in the area. Eventually he was caught by the police dropping off a fare in the next town. the punter admitted to booking and paying for a cab. the driver got a substantial fine and banned from driving for 6 months for signage matters, no insurance, no valid licence etc. He's now taken it upon himself to threaten me with "exposure" on social media sites as a "police grass". gosh, I'm sooo worried. This twunt posted an envelope through my door this afternoon with a badly typed letter saying as much, along with copies of confidential police paperwork covered under the Data Protection Act! I do hope that if he carries out this threat, he carries the full story that he was caught driving with no licence or insurance and the host of other laws he'd broken. Needless to say the matter has been reported to the police; they may well take further action under the Data Protection Act; I may take action for slander/libel, after all he only has a name to go on and no address. There may be someone with the same name as me who reported it. there's been several cases recently of people being prosecuted for malicious postings on social media sites. Maybe he's too thick to read that much1 What would YOU do if you saw someone operating illegally, depriving you of your livelihood and putting passengers lives at risk? |

We have a chap around here who has been doing it for years. The council did prosecute him once but he is still at it. The council are not seem interested in catching him at it again. |

Bet your boots if YOU ran for a week with an out-of-date plate you'd be done immediately! |

Same As When PH Pick Up Of Street Or Just Wait Around Towns, Pubs And Clubs. Its Illigal And Puts Passengers At Risk But What Does Everyone Say No One Cares About The Difference Between Private Hire And Hackney As Long As They Get Home NoOne Cares. And When It Comes To Something Like This Automaticly PH And Hackney Are Getting Consered. Why Is It Ok When The PH Pick Up Off The Street Or Wait Around Pubs And Clubs PH Dont Seem Bothered They Taking Away Our Hackneys Livelyhoods. |

He delivers pizza's for them but he also takes customers home with their pizza. That is where he gets his customer base from. Once he takes them home from the takeaway he gives them his number for future use. Of course this is to complicated for the enforcement to crack. |

Shouldnt be to Difficult for His Vehicle Insurers to crack, They would take a dim view of his Social and Domestic use being usurped by for Hire or Reward? |

Be a nice job for the licensing enforcement team then. Overtime and free food.
