Does not stop them charging cheaper...the meter must be on but only shows the maximum you can charge...and good old OFT recommendation was for punters to ask down a taxi rank and take the cheapest...idiots!

In this area there are 3 taxi companies, united taxis, redline cabs and club taxis. Redline (who I had my hack on with) have a good few Pakistani drivers, there accent is hard to understand and they don't have a clue to as where they are going redline are losing business as customers are getting fed up, so the boss has took all their radios and computers off them and they are having none of it, so they are starting their own company called.......... Pakistan taxis, it will be starting in 3 month and is based in the same area redline work in, to give them a bit of (cough cough) competition. Will be laughing when they find out their business will be Nilch

Yes but most of them are like James may, they don't have a clue to as where they are going, and by that time their meter has ranked up a nice amount to leave a big hole in the passengers pockets

Hang on a minute! They cannot do that...........it might offend us the minority - it seems like that down here . I mean to say............are we allowed to call ourselves Welsh/English/Scottish/Irish taxis?

Quite frankly I would be all for them calling themselves that............one look in the yellow pages and it would be............I am not f^%k!*g calling them.

Seriously though - would that be classified as offensive/racist. If you are not allowed to fly the flag of the country on your car i.e England matches without some sort of hoo haa..........then that cannot be right.
