Seen this video and thought, well that would be a much more simpler idea than having to find a pulse wire

why is it a scam?

the OBD2 port carries data just like a speedo and ECU, is it law a meter MUST have a physical link to a car?

its only a wireless sender to the meter

once tested the councils should be ok, makes fitting and removal free....move over Lucas and Pitt's...

It's a scam. It generates a pulse so that the car thinks it is moving so it will make the trip and odometer figures rise even when stationary. The meter would still need a pulse connection, this thing just means that waiting time won't cut in.

in that case its illegal

use the clock on the meter instead

This set me off thinking...

why not charge by the hour instead of miles? (or at least, by time)

average road speeds are decreasing, town centre's are at walking pace, and speed limits mean theres a maximum you can drive at anyway

why? all youd need it a timer...

start the clock when they get in, stop it on arrival at destination, £1/minute
